Caring CommitteeA Message to our Congregation: Over the years, a primary function of CBI's Caring Committee has been to supplement Rabbi Alexander's visitation of hospitalized Jewish patients; unfortunately, some patients have been missed, simply because we do no know they are there. We want to provide visits for anyone who would like them. If you are in the hospital or planning a hospital admission, and you would like a visit from a member of the congregation, or if you have a family member or friend who would like one, please call CBI (295-6382) and let one of the staff in the CBI office know so that the information can be passed along to Rabbi Dan or the Caring Committee.
The role of the Caring Committee of Congregation Beth Israel is to provide and assist the Rabbi with:
- Coordinating visits and meals to the sick
- Facilitating visits to all Jewish patients including out of towners in local hospitals and/or nursing homes
- Extending congratulations to new parents
- Collaborating with the Ritual Practice and Chevra Kadisha Committees in arranging shiva minyanim
